Built on tradition. driven by craft.
Barbering is more than a profession to me—it’s part of my family history.
My grandfather and his father before him spent more than 40 years behind the barber chair in Guatemala, building their reputation through hard work, skill, and a commitment to their customers. Years later, without realizing it at first, I found myself following in their footsteps.
I began barbering in 2010 at a traditional local barbershop. It didn’t take long for me to realize this wasn’t just a job. I loved the craft, the atmosphere of a true barbershop, and the relationships built with the people who sat in my chair. I knew I had found what I was meant to do.
After years of learning the trade, sharpening my skills, and building a loyal clientele, I decided it was time to bet on myself. In June 2017, I opened Lu’s Shave N’ Cuts.
The shop was built around a simple idea: keep traditional barbering alive. No gimmicks and no unnecessary extras—just quality cuts, clean shaves, good conversation, fair prices, and the kind of service that keeps people coming back.
From my grandfather’s barber chair in Guatemala to my own shop today, the tradition continues—one cut at a time.
